I am Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) at the University of Missouri. I joined ELPA in 2005 after receiving my PhD in Economics from the University of Oregon. 

My research uses tools from the discipline of economics to understand the effects of educational policy on higher education students and institutions. Specifically, I focus on issues of education access, equity, and success across three broad areas: the efficacy of financial aid programs, the behaviors of educational institutions, and financial barriers to student success. Additionally, I conduct cost-effectiveness analyses for various educational interventions.
